Class Description
A structured 3 day course of cookery classes, really focused on being self sufficient in the kitchen. The class will have a maximum of 8 participants and will run daily for 3 days and will benefit those either leaving home to go off to University, want to cook more at home independently or simply want to understand more about how to create tasty food which is easy to prepare and shop for. We are planning to host this at Deansgate Square but if attendees would prefer Didsbury, please let us know and we may host across both or either site.
Led by one of our most local and most loved chefs, who has a background in inspiring and teaching teenagers and young adults, this will be a fun filled day covering different skills which will give every student the knowledge and confidence to cater for friends and family.
Dishes on the day will cover easy, nutritious mid-week meals; dishes from different cuisines; batch cooking; with vegetarian / meat / fish alternatives.
In addition to the cooking, we’ll cover how to use leftovers to create tasty lunches, how to freeze things and safely defrost and reheat them, alongside how to shop efficiently and reduce food waste to zero.
