Japanese Cuisine is experiencing ever increasing popularity in the UK and at Food Sorcery we developed a weekend class that explores three of the most popular dishes – all can be replicated at home and during the class you will have the opportunity for plenty of hands-on cookery, demonstration and a sociable meal at the end.
Naturally low in dairy and fat, you will learn the tips and trick to enjoy making these dishes, you will cook all the dishes and then enjoy eating the fruits of your labour at our sociable dining table, if you’d prefer you can take your dishes home. Long gone will be the days of squidgy noodles hiding in the bottom of a bowl of salty stock and overcooked veggies.
Examples of what you’ll cook:
- Tuna Poke Bowl – power-packed with a high amount of protein and good fats
- Beef Fillet tataki – with onion ponzu and garlic crisps
- Spicy Yaki Udon Noodles – made with an assortment of vegetables and protein
- Seared nigiri sushi – one of the most popular dishes
- Garlic Chili Hot Sauce – similar to sriracha but fresh to use for cooking
Glass of Prosecco, beer or soft drink on arrival. Enjoy the food you create at our sociable table at the end of the class – if there are any leftovers you are welcome to take them home – bring suitable containers!
We have a great bar with some amazing wines, beers, a range spirits and soft drinks to enjoy – additional beverages can be purchased using card.
Copies of the recipes will also be emailed to you after the class.
The added bonus is the washing up is all done for you!
