Claire has been navigating New Smithfield wholesale market for over a decade, cooking fresh produce onsite at the market cafe. We have combined forces with Claire to showcase the best Seasonal Produce available with a lunch club running every 2 months. This is our first event with her, looking at some beautiful Autumnal produce
Claire will buy all the produce for your seasonal lunch in the morning, then prepare and cook you a wonderful meal, which you’ll enjoy eating in our spacious dining room. Throughout the event, Claire will be happy to answer any questions and will demo where possible how to make elements of the meal.
If you would like an early start to join Claire at the market, we can arrange this.
Note: menu can be adapted to a Vegetarian diet and most allergies catered for. If you would like a Vegan option, please discuss with us.
Menu – subject to availability:
Main Course – Pork Fillet ‘Waldorf’ Wellington, with celeriac purée, steamed beetroot and Bramley apple, kale and buttered cider sauce.
Vegetarian Option – Butternut Squash ‘Waldorf’ Wellington.
Dessert – Sticky Toffee Plum Pudding with spiced Banana ‘Ice-cream’
Claire also runs tours of the market showing you how to navigate and buy the freshest produce.
Glass of prosecco, beer or soft drink on arrival at the cookery school, further drinks can be purchased from our well stocked bar.
