The modern chef has an armoury of sauces and marinades that lift and a polish their food; we have pulled together a class with a mixture of demonstration and hands-on cookery – sauces to dip into throughout the class so you can eat as you learn!
You will learn about thickening agents, reductions, emulsions, pesto and flavoured oils.
These skills really will equip you to take your cooking to the next level, and if any of them don’t go to plan, you will also learn tips and tricks to salvage them!
You will be able to take your sauces home to use for your meals at home.
Examples of what you might cook:
- Emulsions, pestos, flavoured oils
- BBQ Sauce
- Pepper Sauce
- Dipping Sauces (maybe even the Vimto special)
- Salted Caramel

What to Bring: We provide all ingredients and everything needed for a great event – arrival drink included and our well stocked bar is available to buy additional. We encourage guests to bring their own apron and some Tupperware to take any left overs home.

Learn to chop, slice and dice like a pro we will teach you all the tricks of the trade so that you can understand how to choose the right knife for the job and use your knife to best advantage. Most importantly, you will learn how to use a knife safely. You may not be able to slice with your eyes shut after this class, but with practice you will make short work of preparing the Sunday roast or Delicious Dinners.
Once all the knife work has been done, we will show you how to make delicious dishes using the ingredients you have chopped, which you’ll enjoy eating and any left overs can be taken home.
Allergies and dietary requirements can be catered for if we know in advance.

Cooking is fun, relaxing and enjoyable and you only need a few basic skills to open up a world of possibilities. Our expert Chef is keen to support you take your first steps, or perhaps chop your first onion in a fun and engaging class. Menu and theme change, however your skills and confidence will grow and you will learn how the new skills translate to differing cuisines
On this class we make lemon & thyme roast chicken, some different approaches to potatoes, cauliflower/ broccoli and seasonal vegetables…..followed by Poached Pears. Delicious and very adaptable skills.
