We have two types of classes where tickets are sold in pairs, these classes are designed for people to work together cooking a meal.
Tickets for one : you work at your own station unless you book with a household or bubble member where you can share space.
Tickets for two : our expectation is that you are booking with a household or bubble, please contact us for options if you aren’t.
We worked hard to open Food Sorcery in July and have operated within the Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines. As levels of lockdown have changed, we have adapted accordingly, whether the rule of six or simply households together we can make sure this works in our spacious kitchen.
What this means for you
- – More space if you are from different households.
- – Wear a mask on arrival and to move around. Cooking stations and dining are mask free if you choose.
- – Screens to separate working & dining areas
- – New entrance to reduce surface contact
- – More washing hands
- – Cleaning schedule increased
- – Same amount of foodie fun!
We’re Good To Go – Approved Covid safe by Visit Britain
Safe Socialising – Cookery School arrival procedures
It’s great to be trading again and although we have adapted to the latest guidelines, we don’t believe it will impact the enjoyment of our events.
Lockdown Tiers – these have an impact on our spacing. 3 or 4 hour cooking classes – you are treated as an individual on these events so you will have you won ingredients and kit. If you book with a household or bubble member, you may share a hob – if you book with someone outside your bubble, you will need separate hobs. Events where tickets are sold for 2 – Cooking Together, 90 Minute Class & Meal, Supper Clubs – we treat you as a pair, so if you are not in the same social bubble, please let us know and we can discuss options.
Ahead of the class, please just question whether you have any of the Covid Symptoms: New continuous dry cough, high temperature, loss or change to your sense of smell/ taste. If you experience any of these symptoms please let us know and we’ll re book you onto another class when it’s safe to do so.
Please aim to bring as little as possible, if you can leave coats and bags at home, that’s great. You don’t need to bring an apron – for the time being we will use disposable aprons. Please wear a mask on arrival, you don’t need to wear it when at your workstation or dining area.
Ahead of your arrival we will have completed a thorough clean and all surfaces will have been sanitised.
When you arrive, please come up the fire-escape to the left of our usual entrance. This just means there are less doors to open and touch.
When you come in, our host will greet you and you will then wash your hands, be offered a welcome drink and go to your workstation. Our kitchen will be a clean zone, so everyone in the space will have clean hands and if for any reason you leave the kitchen you must wash your hands again when re-entering. If for any reason you need to touch your face, mouth, eyes, nose – please wash your hands again. There are loads of paper towels in the kitchen so if you need to cough or sneeze, please do use some paper to catch, kill & bin.
Toilets – these are down the corridor from the kitchen. While masks are required, you should wear your mask , remove your apron (we will get you a replacement), and wash your hands both after using the facilities and when re-entering the kitchen space.
See you at the class!
