We have been working hard to get the cookery school ready to open and have been approved by Visit England to show we are following government and industry COVID-19 guidelines.
What this means for you
- – Screens to separate working areas
- – New entrance to reduce surface contact
- – More washing hands
- – Cleaning schedule increased
- – Same amount of foodie fun!
Safe Socialising – Cookery School arrival procedures
It’s great to be trading again and although we have adapted to the latest guidelines, we don’t believe it will impact the enjoyment of our events. We have reduced numbers on individual events and screens where the same household work in pairs, so there is plenty of space, ventilation, extractors and also fun to be had!
Ahead of the class, please just question whether you have any of the Covid Symptoms: New continuous dry cough, high temperature, loss or change to your sense of smell/ taste. If you experience any of these symptoms please let us know and we’ll re book you onto another class when it’s safe to do so.
Please aim to bring as little as possible, if you can leave coats and bags at home, that’s great. You don’t need to bring an apron – for the time being we will use disposable aprons. If you would like to wear a mask, you are welcome to bring one.
Ahead of your arrival we will have completed a thorough clean and all surfaces will have been sanitised.
When you arrive, please come up the fire-escape to the left of our usual entrance. This just means there are less doors to open and touch.
When you come in, our host will greet you, ask about symptoms and then if you have any coats/ bags you will put on your chair in the dining room. You will then wash your hands, be offered a welcome drink and go to your workstation. Our kitchen will be a clean zone, so everyone in the space will have clean hands and if for any reason you leave the kitchen you must wash your hands again when re-entering. If for any reason you need to touch your face, mouth, eyes, nose – please wash your hands again. There are loads of paper towels in the kitchen so if you need to cough or sneeze, please do use some paper to catch, kill & bin.
Toilets – We will ask you to do the following….remove and bin your apron, put on some disposable gloves, use the toilet then bin the gloves on the way back to the kitchen. When you enter the kitchen again, wash your hands and put on a new apron. Staff are unable to clean the toilets during a class as we are handling food so please use the santizer and paper towels to wipe any surfaces you have touched.
See you at the class!
