Class Description
Kaiseki is a style of Japanese Cuisine in which a series of very small, intricate dishes are prepared. At Food Sorcery we have developed a class that explores three of the most popular dishes – all can be replicated at home and during the class you will have the opportunity for plenty of hands-on cookery, demonstration and a sociable meal at the end.
Combination of hands-on cooking and demonstration, this extended class includes time to enjoy eating your dishes in the dining room. You will leave with plenty of leftovers and the confidence to cook more delicious dishes at home.
All classes are adaptable for most allergies and preferences, just let us know in the notes when booking.
Examples of what you might cook: things may change, trust us it will be delicious!
Nikuman: steamed buns with a mildly sweet, milky taste, often eaten as a snack with pork filling
Harryhira dressing – a unique dressing with lots of great taste sensations
Tuna maki – Also known as Tuna roll, covered with nori seaweed on the outside
Fillet steak with ginger sauce – simply delicious and looks amazing
Smashed cucumber salad (Sunomono) – Sunomono refers to vinegar-based dishes served as a side
