Japanese Cuisine is experiencing ever increasing popularity in the UK and sushi has became one of the world’s most known dishes.
You will learn how to make popular types of sushi such as makizushi – rice and filling wrapped in nori, uramaki – rice is on the outside such as California rolls, and sashimi – raw fish. All ingredients are bought locally.
The most common type of Gyoza in Japan is Yaki-Gyoza. This style of Gyoza is very similar to the Chinese ‘potsticker’ dumplings. The prepared dumplings are placed in a pan and fried for a short time, water is then added to the pan and a lid placed on top, to steam the dumplings.
Ramen is one of the best-known and most popular Japanese foods around the world. We will look at two of the most popular
Combination of hands-on cooking and demonstration, this extended class includes time to enjoy eating your dishes in the dining room. You will leave with plenty of leftovers and the confidence to cook more delicious dishes at home.

Bao Buns are a delicious, warm, fluffy treat of stuffing wrapped inside a sweet, white dough. In this class you will learn to make and steam your own buns with traditional fillings, chef will then move on to show you how to make, cook and serve delicious udon noodles. Udon are a thicker noodle than ramen, able to absorb more flavours.
Combination of hands-on cooking and demonstration. Eat as you cook and takeaway your creations. You will leave with tips and tricks to cook more delicious dishes at home.
All classes can be adapted to most allergies & preferences, just let us know in the notes when booking.

Japanese Cuisine is experiencing ever increasing popularity in the UK and sushi has became one of the world’s most known dishes.
You will learn how to make popular types of sushi such as makizushi – rice and filling wrapped in nori, uramaki – rice is on the outside such as California rolls, and sashimi – raw fish. All ingredients are bought locally.
The most common type of Gyoza in Japan is Yaki-Gyoza. This style of Gyoza is very similar to the Chinese ‘potsticker’ dumplings. The prepared dumplings are placed in a pan and fried for a short time, water is then added to the pan and a lid placed on top, to steam the dumplings.
Ramen is one of the best-known and most popular Japanese foods around the world. We will look at two of the most popular
