The Mekong River is located in South East Asia and stretches across six countries: China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam This class will look at three different curries from the region  – Thai, Vietnamese, Malay – which will give you a wealth of knowledge so you can create many different dishes.

In recent years, discoveries from leading scientific researchers have found that the state of our gut bacteria could lead to better mood, immunity and skin. During the class you will learn how to get started with fermenting at home.

What you will make – please bring 3 preserving jars or pre order from us £5 each.

• Kimchi
• Sauerkraut
• Kimchi fried rice
• Wholemeal momos with fermented soy beans and turmeric sauerkraut

Kimchi and Sauerkraut are great side dishes which can be eaten with any meal and are traditionally made by fermenting cabbage but many other vegetables can be used. Korean kimchi is hot and spicy whilst sauerkraut has a distinctive sour flavour –  the result of lactic acid formed when the bacteria ferment the sugars in the cabbage leaves.

What’s included

Probiotic drink on arrival and the food you make – please bring three or more glass preserving jars, at least 500ml or pre order from us at £5 each. The class will last 2.5 to 3 hours depending on number of guests. You will eat your dishes on the night and take home your jars of fermented Sauerkraut and Kimchi.

Learn to chop, slice and dice like a pro we will teach you all the tricks of the trade so that you can understand how to choose the right knife for the job and use your knife to best advantage. Most importantly, you will learn how to use a knife safely.  You may not be able to slice with your eyes shut after this class, but with practice you will make short work of preparing the Sunday roast or Delicious Dinners.

Once all the knife work has been done, we will show you how to make delicious dishes using the ingredients you have chopped, which you’ll enjoy eating and any left overs can be taken home.

Sauces are the backbone of every great dish, and in this class you’ll discover how easy they are to master. Learn to make classic and international sauces, from everyday favourites to those often thought tricky—but simple once you know the techniques.

Our chef will demonstrate the simpler sauces, while you get hands-on with the more challenging ones. You’ll also enjoy a dish prepared by the chef using one of the sauces, and take home samples of everything you create, ready to use in your own cooking.

Our Big & Little Cooks experience is designed for you to cook together.  The event is chef led and together you will make and as importantly eat a main course, side dish & dessert.  Important life skills being learned while enjoying cooking together.

The Mekong River is located in South East Asia and stretches across six countries: China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam This class will look at three different curries from the region  – Thai, Vietnamese, Malay – which will give you a wealth of knowledge so you can create many different dishes.

Combination of hands-on cooking and demonstration. Eat as you cook and takeaway your creations. You will leave with tips and tricks to cook more delicious dishes at home.

You’ll practice chopping, dicing, and slicing, while breaking down a whole chicken into perfect portions. Cook simple, delicious dishes such as pan-seared chicken breasts, roasted thighs, and chicken stir-fries, gaining skills that make everyday cooking faster, safer, and more enjoyable. Perfect for home cooks looking to boost confidence in the kitchen.

• Learn to safely break down a whole chicken into breasts, thighs, wings, and drumsticks
• Gain confidence in seasoning, cooking, and presenting chicken perfectly
• Cook simple, delicious chicken dishes:

1. Tuscan chicken breasts, pan fry then over cook in a delicious sauce
2. Buffalo drumsticks, prepare, oven cook and prepare an amazing glaze
3. Stuffed thigh ballottine, prepare the chicken thighs, roll and over cook
4. Use the carcass to prepare a healthy broth ready to make a chicken broth at home

This class is about spending time with your child by doing an activity which requires working as a team. You will prepare a main course, a side dish and a dessert, before enjoying your meal together in the company of others in our dining area.

Chef will share tips and tricks to improve your skills in the kitchen, whilst creating a repeatable meal which is bound to become a family favourite.

• Main and Side: Gyoza, Katsu curry, Stir Fried Rice.
• Dessert: Chocolate Fondant

For GF participants: you’ll join the gyoza folding process, then eat an alternative option.

Learn to chop, slice and dice like a pro we will teach you all the tricks of the trade so that you can understand how to choose the right knife for the job and use your knife to best advantage. Most importantly, you will learn how to use a knife safely.  You may not be able to slice with your eyes shut after this class, but with practice you will make short work of preparing the Sunday roast or Delicious Dinners.

Once all the knife work has been done, we will show you how to make delicious dishes using the ingredients you have chopped, which you’ll enjoy eating and any left overs can be taken home.
