During this afternoon workshop, we look at all things pasta – from mixing and kneading pasta dough, beetroot infused and standard egg pasta, various rolling techniques, filling, shaping and chef will demonstrate some sauces. It’s a lovely afternoon, culminating in a delightful dinner prepared by you!
Sophia Loren once said ‘Everything you see I owe to Spaghetti.’ Whilst we can’t promise you a glittering career in Hollywood after our pasta course, we can promise that you will learn how to make Italy’s staple food by hand and using some traditional kit. Our Chef will show you how to mix, knead, bash, squash and shape the dough into several of the most popular varieties – spaghetti, farfalle and ravioli.
It’s hungry work making pasta so you during the evening there is the opportunity to eat some of your hard work…Chef usually likes to demo a sauce or something to impress to go with your pasta creations.

He perfected his craft during his years working in some of London’s best restaurants. Due to recent circumstances Laurie has just started a new venture- Manchester Pasta Co, delivering fresh pasta around the local area. This way he is still able to serve tasty food to people in a safe way. He will now be hosting artisan pasta master classes. He will also be posting seasonal supper clubs, with live cooking demonstrations and a chance for guests to taste some of his finest creations.

Pasta, Gnocchi and Risotto are sometimes a minefield and a mystery to the every day home cook. During this cookery class, we look at the staples of Italian cuisine Pasta, Gnocci, risotto. You will learn to make the lightest touch gnocchi, use a pasta machine to make shape and use fresh pasta, plus create a fantastic risotto – once you’ve learnt the basics you’ll be able to get creative with flavours at home. If time allows chef will demo some simple sauces to compliment your creations.
It’s a busy class with lots to get through so we eat as we work, and there will be plenty to take home to enjoy later.

During this afternoon workshop, we look at all things pasta – from mixing and kneading pasta dough, beetroot infused and standard egg pasta, various rolling techniques, filling, shaping and chef will demonstrate some sauces. It’s a lovely afternoon, culminating in a delightful dinner prepared by you!
Sophia Loren once said ‘Everything you see I owe to Spaghetti.’ Whilst we can’t promise you a glittering career in Hollywood after our pasta course, we can promise that you will learn how to make Italy’s staple food by hand and using some traditional kit. Our Chef will show you how to mix, knead, bash, squash and shape the dough into several of the most popular varieties – spaghetti, farfalle and ravioli.
It’s hungry work making pasta so you during the evening there is the opportunity to eat some of your hard work…Chef usually likes to demo a sauce or something to impress to go with your pasta creations.

Our Chef will show you how to mix, knead, bash, squash and shape the dough into several of the most popular varieties – spaghetti, farfalle and ravioli.

This way he is still able to serve tasty food to people in a safe way. He will now be hosting artisan pasta master classes. You will learn to make the lightest touch gnocchi, use a pasta machine to make shape and use fresh pasta, plus create a fantastic risotto – once you’ve learnt the basics you’ll be able to get creative with flavours at home. If time allows chef will demo some simple sauces to compliment your creations.

Laurie Curtis Manchester Pasta CoDidsbury based chef Laurie Curtis is a private chef who specialises in fine dining. He perfected his craft during his years working in some of London’s best restaurants. Due to recent circumstances Laurie has just started a new venture- Manchester Pasta Co, delivering fresh pasta around the local area. This way he is still able to serve tasty food to people in a safe way. He will now be hosting artisan pasta master classes. He will also be posting seasonal supper clubs, with live cooking demonstrations and a chance for guests to taste some of his finest creations.

Pasta, Gnocchi and Risotto are sometimes a minefield and a mystery to the every day home cook. During this cookery class, we look at the staples of Italian cuisine Pasta, Gnocci, risotto. You will learn to make the lightest touch gnocchi, use a pasta machine to make shape and use fresh pasta, plus create a fantastic risotto – once you’ve learnt the basics you’ll be able to get creative with flavours at home. If time allows chef will demo some simple sauces to compliment your creations.
It’s a busy class with lots to get through so we eat as we work, and there will be plenty to take home to enjoy later.

After culinary school Laurie moved to London to further his skill set and career. There, he trained in high end restaurants of Michelin and Rosette standard.

Join Chef for an Italian inspired menu for our popular cooking together evening. Italian street food known as cicchetti originated in Venice where wine bars (bàcaro) serve small dishes similar to Spanish tapas. They are delicious to eat and look beautiful.
Cooking Together events are the perfect blend of meal out and cookery class – sociable foodie fun. One ticket is for 2 people and you will cook your meal together. Our menus usually contain fish or meat but we can cater for vegetarian, vegan and allergy options, please advise in the notes when booking.
Enjoy canapés and a complementary glass of fizz on arrival, and Chef will guide you through creating your meal, sharing their knowledge and love of food with cooking and presentation tips throughout.
Cooking Together events can be exclusive for groups of friends or family – if you have something in mind, get in touch.

Hands-on Cooking Together in your pair, chef will guide you through preparation, cooking and serving of your starter and main course, with plenty of time to enjoy eating in our spacious dining area. Chef makes dessert for you to enjoy.
